Cranky Large Medium reading, 5 March

Go away.

Why won't you go? Waarom? Pourquoi ? Perché? Por que? Warum? ¿Por qué? Почему? Γιατί; Don't you understand how I treasure my solitude? It would seem not. So, what is it that brings you to my torment? Ah, the reading you seek. And if I give it to you, you will be happy and leave, yes? Or, at least you will leave, correct? Wonderful! Here you are:
You have the gift of far-sightedness. I have some reading spectacles for you. You are a marginally good planner, and should begin most of your major undertakings in May and June. You are an undertaker, aren't you? If not, don't worry about digging. You are a loyal and true friend, if you ever meet people who want you as a friend. Not that it will happen here. You will always be contented and happy, if you lapse into a coma this afternoon. Otherwise, not so much.
Are you happy, now? Of course not. You only act comatose. In truth, you're as vertical as the guy in the cubicle next to you. But then, it still beats the alternative, which happened to these people when, on this date in history, they set root in the bone orchard: Shimazu Yoshihisa, Joseph Stalin, Franz Mesmer, Pierre-Simon Laplace, Alessandro Volta, Johan Jensen, Franz Mertens, Henry Wharton, Max Jacob, Anna Akhmatova, ... Antonio da Correggio, Michael Coxcie, David Scott, Thomas Arne, Alfredo Casella, Sergei Prokofiev, Isidore Hochberg aka Yip Harburg, Herman J. Mankiewicz, Billy De Wolfe, Jay Silverheels, John Belushi, William Powell, Gary Merrill, Whit Bissell, Richard Kiley, Pepper Martin, Crispus Attucks, John Adams, David Dunbar Buick,
Harold F. "Hawkshaw" Hawkins,

Lloyd E. "Cowboy" Copas

and Virginia Patterson Hensley aka Patsy Cline.

I've grown so used to this, somehow.
Happy birthday, anyway.
