Cranky Large Medium reading, 7 January

Go away.

Why are you still here? Did you think I would enjoy seeing your face all day? What is keeping you here, anyway? Oh, right, the reading. If I tell you what I see, will you remove yourself from my sight? Wonderful. Here you are, then:
Restrain your inclination to be exacting and domineering and learn to control your temper. It will never get you the respect you crave. Come to think of it, nothing will. The best you can hope for is to marry somebody who will push you to become a decent human being. The likeliest is, you can forget that, too.
Are you happy, now? Of course not. Nobody ever likes to see what I see. At least you're better off than these people, all of whom, on this date in history, became part of the vast unseen: Catherine of Aragon, Pope Innocent X, Hirohito, Jean-Étienne Guettard, François-Vincent Raspail, Jožef Stefan, Nikola Tesla, James Smith, Alfred Kastler, Murray Rothbard, Vladimir Prelog, Allan Ramsay, Joseph Dennie, David Goodis, John Berryman, Nicholas Hilliard, Thomas Lawrence, Philip D. Eastman, Ruggiero Giovannelli, Guy d'Hardelot, Larry Williams, Trevor Howard, Avery Schreiber, Jack Boyle, Dorothea Douglass Chambers, Horace Stoneham, Bronko Nagurski, James Fisk, Henry Ware Eliot, André Maginot, Lou Hoover, Richard Hunt,
and Jon Lee.

And tomorrow can't come soon enough.
Happy birthday, anyway.
