China's military aided by Clinton?

At CQ,Captain Ed has a few things to say about recent revelations that our intel services received a "surprise": China has been amassing much military in the Pacific -- some of it, apparently, with help from the Clinton Admin who were supposed to be protecting us.

Why, golly, gee! You mean them Chinee they might akshully be bad to us? And, gawrsh! Prez Billy-Jeff mighta not had our best innerrests at heart awlla the time, when he tuck money fruhm them furriners? Shoot mah dawg! And tuh thaink, they pays folks tuh know this kinda stuff! Who'd 'a' thunk?

Sheesh. The CIA let this one by them for a decade? Between al-Qaeda and China, The Agency has a lot of 'splainin' to do about their work in the 1990s, and they don't seem able to find the answers. I hope we survive their stupidity. They certainly are going to have a hard time justifying their existence, for a while.

As for WJC -- the less said about that man and his wife, the better.

UPDATE:Friday, 17:30 CDT. John Hinderaker at Power Line has a pretty clear explanation of the Agency's role, here. I feel somewhat better about the CIA, and not one whit better about Clinton or his people.
