Biden's stupid statement a precursor to Reichstag moment?

When I first heard Biden's absurdly obvious remark that, early in rookie pol Barack Obama's presidency, the Big O would be tested, “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you - not financially to help him - we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right,” I thought he was just the insanely stupid Biden he's always been.

Unfortunately, when I look at the behavior of Obamists across the country, I begin to see inklings of a repeat of history being set in motion, and, for the first time in my life, I begin to believe it could happen. The worst of it is, because we're expecting to have a rookie prez, we don't need to have an inside job to set things up -- all we need is his general ineptness at international policy, his historic contempt for national pride and security and his willingness to "reach out" to despots and murderers. Will somebody please, please tell me that we aren't heading toward the near-complete suspension of the Constitution under a socialist pretense? Bring me solid evidence that it could never happen.

Update: I don't know whether to be relieved or more concerned that I'm not the only one thinking this way.

Update 2: A few others are looking at this as a warning that we should be prepared for when the Big O jettisons our staunchest allies to perish at the hands of enemies of freedom.
