Gratuitous postcard: help is sent to Seattle

Postcard: Canoeing On Black River, Seattle
"Canoeing on the Black River, Seattle, Washington", ca. 1908-1910

The news would indicate that Seattle and its surrounding counties have been suffering from an excess of rain, even by their standards. But the state and federal offices have announced that help is on the way. They're sending in assessors... although the going is slow.

Had I thought about it when I was leaving Bremerton at the turn of the 21st century, I'd have left my old pair of water wings with my friends near U Dub. I'm never going to need them again -- I grew my own flotation devices long ago.
