Bush blocks WTO entry for Russia - Yahoo! News

Not that I didn't see this coming, but it looks as though Putin's strongarm tactics against his own country's economy plus his support for Iran got Bush alert enough to block Russian entry into the WTO.

I wonder if Bush is doing the old "carrot-and-stick" approach... get Putin to stop doing business with Iran, Hizbollah and other like-minded menaces, and in exchange, he'll reconsider his vote next go-round?

Hmmm. I wish I could get some deep thoughts about this, but it's too hot. Maybe somebody will get around to it at Pajamas Media sometime soon.

Or, maybe I'm just missing something.

damme, it's muggy, even with the little air conditioner humming along!

Maybe Hell has frozen over because all the heat rose to our level, this week. Should I be looking for shelter from falling pig poo? Should I be thinking seriously about the Cubs' chances for the World Series? Nah. At least not that last one.

Too darned much big news today. I wonder what the MSM will have been covering, tonight? Probably automotive trends or the Miss Universe pageant. Everybody else seems to have mentioned it. And now I have. jeepers!
