Hot Air has this little bit about Haditha: Pushback: Marine Capt. James Kimber says he’s being scapegoated. He says he can prove he wasn't anywhere near Haditha at the time of the alleged massacre.
There are lots of people who are looking at this as, "Kimber is being left hanging out to dry by the Pentagon." I can't help but wonder if the whole thing is a disinformation campaign against the leftist/jihadi media and elite. If (a) Kimber can prove he's totally innocent of the accusations, and (b) the latest interesting bit of news from Sweetness & Light has any actual bearing on the case, this may provide more egg on media faces than anything since Rathergate -- actually, Rathergate would seem like hummingbird egg, and this would be ostrich, comparatively. The MSM could have been totally set up to look like the anal apertures they have become, and the Marines could come out smelling like the roses (brambly thorns and all) they mostly are...
I don't think I can afford to hope my paranoid thoughts come true. But it would be spiffy, wouldn't it?
