My old chum Tannish, apparently, has not abandoned me as I threatened to do to him. Okay, I took a break from his blog a while back because I was getting weary of reading the same angry stuff repeated, seemingly ceaselessly, without anything new to add to his rants, but I still love & usually respect him.
But I think he missed my real point, when he blogged my blog. It looks as though he thinks that, just because we are political opposites, I think he needs therapy. Nope. The issue isn't partisanship. The issue is the amount of time one spends being angry about political opposition. If it appears that one is in a near-constant rage over something so petty as politics, IMO, one needs to find other things with which to occupy one's mind. This doesn't mean abandoning the issues -- it simply means finding a balance. Allowing bile to dictate one's days is a bitter way to live.
I dunno how infrequently he pops in, here, but I hope it's not too much more often than I pop in on his site, since we are so easily brought to fisticuffs.... And we used to have such fun arguing. Of course, that was before he got those holes in his feet. ;-)
