Tut, tut! More mummies found in Valley of Kings

According to the Beeb, in their article Pharaonic tomb find stuns Egypt, the Valley of the Kings is not yet tapped out of mummified remains of pharaohs -- much to the surprise of most experts. Of course, they were saying there was nothing left to find in the valley even before Carter stumbled upon Tutankhamun.

Just like in all the best trashy suspense novels, while they were looking at one tomb, they found access to the burial chamber for five other mummies, complete with decorated sarcophagi, secreted away beneath the main burial site.

Whether it turns out the mummies were once kings or priests or just darned lucky people, this is an exciting find. I can't wait to hear more about it.
