Members of the left -- including and especially the Senators from Massachusetts -- have been arguing for more than two years, now, that there were no terrorists in Iraq until we invaded. Well, I guess they're from the school of "thought" where they never let the facts get in the way of a story.
Stephen Hayes' article in the Weekly Standard presents the case which both Kerry and Kennedy have seen. The evidence strongly supports the early intel that Iraq was a training ground for a number of known terrorist groups -- up to 8,000 trainees -- as early as 1999. But neither Senator has come forth to admit he was in error.
And, as Michelle Malkin has pointed out, the MSM isn't likely to leap on this story -- because it puts them in a bit of a bad light, as well as supports the President's position (as if you had to have that pointed out to you). Far more than the WMD argument, this was a major cause for our involvement in Iraq in the first place. It's important that the American public know about it. The world needs to hear about it.
Pass it on.

The Weekly Standards been a godsend. There pushing for Hoeksta's call to release the captured documents and put them on the internet so we can have the blogesphere translate and review them. It's part of the Hayes article you reference here.
I posted on it too a while back citing the Wash Times editorial too.
Nice blog, I'll add you to my blogroll.
Thanks much. Turnabout is fair play.
