This Sun-Times article brought to mind ex sailorette's Jack, Jill, et al. Her Shih Tsu clan got trrrrrimmmmed earlier this summer, and all I could think of when I saw them all nekkid like that was how my own beasts would react... Much the same as the cat pictured in the S-T link.
Some animals have on overweening pride, and mine are among that class. Well, maybe not Peanut:
Peanut has very little dignity. That's probably why I like having her around. That, and the kitty-spitty hair-styling salon she operates.
