Please, don't make their hearts go pitty-pat

The Trib has news of a recall on pacemakers: Guidant Corp. is reccalling 9 models of their product manufactured between 1997 and 2000, due to potential for moisture build-up to trigger the machine's failure.

"Guidant said it has identified 69 failures among the pacemakers -- all after they had been used for at least 44 months. The models include: Pulsar Max, Pulsar, Discovery, Meridian, Pulsar Max II, Discovery II, Virtus Plus II, Intelis II, and Contak TR."

If you know somebody whose faulty ticker is supported by one of these dinguses, please be careful how you give them this news.
