According to the local ABC affiliate, 24-year-old Randy Washington gave himself away by calling a radio station to brag about a bank robbery he had planned and committed in April 2004... a listener identified the robbery, called the police, and they traced the call Washington made to the radio station right back to his cell phone.
Some days, when I'm surrounded by my parents' friends and I'm therefore feeling thick-witted, I'll think of him and smile with relief.
