Hooray for Bloggywood!

Last night's ABC Nightline featured blogs and bloggers. Naturally, they had to demonstrate how the instant media can get out of hand -- always put the worst-case-scenario first. They raised the issue of professional ethics in a batch non-professionals... never, of course, bringing up the topic of the failures in that category by members of their own corps. Nevertheless, they did include a really spiffy concession at the end of the show, in the "commentary" section, where the host concluded that, among other things, bloggers were doing their job in keeping journalists honest (I guess that obliquely addresses the many journalists who have failed to maintain professional ethics of late).

While the rest of us already knew this several months ago, it's nice to see at least one part of the MSM admit the truth.
