another Terri Schiavo?

Gateway Pundit has brought up a case in downstate Illinois with some similarities to Terri Schiavo's. The big difference, though, is that the IL woman in similar medical circumstances is on the state dime... her parents put her into this vegetative state, and were subsequently imprisoned for it.

I hope when Kassy Stewart's case comes up again before IL judges, they have more hope for humanity than Judge Greer seems to have.

Whether dependent on private or public funding, consideration for life itself should always come before "quality of life".

Afterthought: So many of Florida's citizens are (former snowbird) retirees who have moved down there to be comfortable in their waning years, and have no ambitions beyond that comfort. They have, in essence, gone south to die. Does that culture of death in all those FL retirement communities, somehow, filter into the Schiavo decisions?
