Methinks somebody is messing w/stats again

The report which came out recently declaring that male sexuality may be decided in the womb states that, with each birth of a son, a woman's chances increase that the next one will be gay. I dunno, but somehow, if you have what I'm told is upwards of 10% of all males being homosexual, and you've given birth to a whole batch of heterosexual boys, then, yeah, statistically, the probability should increase that the next one will be gay. Who knows? The tenth or twelfth son could turn out to be a flaming queen! Or, maybe you'll have a daughter instead (oh, the shame of it!).

But this article doesn't explain my firstborn cousin (gay) and his younger brother (breeder). Neither does it explain the uh... lemme count 'em, now... seven gay friends I have who are all only sons. I guess birth order had a lot to do with their sexual direction, huh?

Sexuality may be -- probably is -- decided in the womb, but I have serious doubts about this "birth order" thing. I have a feeling (and, forgive me for using the left's favorite tool of anti-intellectualism: feeling rather than actually reasoning) that this is just one more "study" designed to justify an abberrant behavior in a species and in a society.
