Islamic group urges Catholic school to move to Muslim faith

In Glasgow, the Religion of Peace is looking to build a democratic change in a parochial school.

The Campaign for Muslim Schools said 90 per cent of pupils at St Albert's Primary, in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow, are Muslim, yet children are having to take part in Catholic rituals like saying the Lord's Prayer and attending mass.

Osama Saeed, co-ordinator of the alliance of Glasgow's main mosques and Muslim organisations said he could see no reason why the main faith of the school should not change.

Just a couple of questions for the good fellow making this suggestion:
(1) Isn't it pretty much the view of all Islam that God is not a democracy? Just because a majority wants something doesn't necessarily mean it will happen.

(2) If you're so all-fired in favor of getting a parochial school to teach Muslim practices and beliefs, why don't you build your own Allah-damned school, and stop trying to co-opt everybody else's?
