I have not lost my mind

I have not lost it.

It's backed up on disk somewhere.

Unfortunately, I can't remember where I put my memory. Again.

Sigh.

Looks like I'm going to have to sacrifice myself at the highest altar of pointless word games, or toss a few hands of solitaire, or something. Life is hard when you can't work.

Has anybody seen a wee stick of a jump drive? I can identify it by the size... it's only a couple of gigs. And it probably has secretly developed pedal extremities, like the clams in B.C. comic strips.

Sigh again.

Update: Found. Damn. No more solitaire, tonight.

Have you seen Georgette?

Update, 23 Oct. noon-ish: Found!

My friend has been house-sitting in Galesburg, IL, for the past week. Along with house duties came some lovely kitties. Unfortunately, one of those kitties decided she missed her real family too much, and slipped out. She's been missing for three days, now, and we're asking for help in finding her (I only heard about it this afternoon, or I'd have been posting the request sooner).

If you have seen this lovely lady roaming your neighborhood, please drop me a line via e-mail, and I'll have my friend get in touch with you immediately.

(For the record, neither of us has much in the way of cash, or we wouldn't be house-sitting the way we do, so any reward we can offer will be of a spiritual nature.)
