The long goodbye, tree

A week ago this past Monday, I received the phone call from the cable guy tree removal service guy that he would have his crew taking down my two dying trees by Wednesday.

They're here today.

I think I'll have to head out and take pics of the work, so I can document the happy day.

Honestly, I'm sorry to see two shade trees will no longer exist on our block, but these monsters were dangerous, so I've been doing the happy dance since I first figured out that the sound of chain saws was emanating from my back yard...

I wonder where the raccoons will go, now?
