Gratuitous postcard: We are family

As I mentioned in my column, last week, our Thanksgiving table has a rather extended family seated around it. This time, we had a total of eleven adults and two small persons. We weren't all dressed to the nines, though. Little Stella wore a red velvet dress with a glittery design on the front of it. The rest of us were in "Casual Friday" mode, by and large. No grunge, but not much of the formal stuff we used to have to do when I was little.

We all had a great time, talking, laughing, overeating...

The house seems awfully quiet, now that everybody's gone home again.

Note to John: I didn't find a FedEx envelope waiting for me, so we gave the drumstick to the slobbering, teething toddler. Sorry. Maybe next year. Heck, maybe next year you can play hooky from your classes & you & Mrs. Eclectic can come sit at the table with us.... Of course, it's not as cost-effective as a small FedEx shipment, but I never was terribly practical, after all.
