Gallup poll: Dem Lead Gone

Posted by Charlie Richards at Townhall.com, the latest numbers and analysis indicate that the lead the Dems used to have is gone, daddy gone...

Richards also quotes Gallup: “Republicans are likely to perform better at the polls in November than would be indicated by pre-election surveys based on registered voters.”

I believe I know why that's the case. Too many of those conservatives are like my parents. They get a phone call from some pollster, and the reply is very simple: "That's really none of your business." I teased Mom about that, the other night after she hung up on some (probably Gallup) poll caller. I reminded her that it really is their business, literally, and she grinned evilly (yes, I do come by it honestly).

She also tells exit poll takers to take a hike... but she's very polite about it.

Heck, Mom doesn't even do the Nielsen ratings surveys when they call.

Mom says, like many other conservatives I've talked to, that we already have useful anonymous polls... at the ballot box. That's the only place they'll tell their choice.

But for a couple of bucks I can tell you, off the record, what tv stations she watches. As if you couldn't guess.
