Well, this is great. Just great. We're out in the boonies, in an economically... uh... challenged area, and these two health care persons are facing multiple felony counts on fraud charges. It looks as though, in the process of healing the sick and helping the community, they were helping themselves to more than their fair share of the taxpayers' dollars, by repeatedly filing false claims with the Department of Public Aid, as well as ripping off insurance companies (thus driving premiums so high that, if I ever get a paying job, I still won't be able to afford coverage for the noise in my head, my bum ticker, my allergies, yada yada yada).
The worst of this is not the outright theft, however. It's that we around here already have enough trouble getting qualified doctors to settle out in the boonies. This just means one less doctor, one less nurse to help us. When my best friends have to go on a two-and-a-half-hour drive in order to get to a gynecologist or shrink who accepts their insurance, there's something seriously broken with the system. And, thanks to Dr. Khaled Dabash and his nurse Rebecca Neese, it doesn't look like it's going to improve around here any time soon.

Just a thought.
Perhaps you could assume "innocent until proven guilty" before jumping on the bandwagon of character assassination? If they are guilty, fine.
But after THOUSANDS of dollars spent by homeland security on this investigation, they can only come up with a charge of fraud for $2,100.00? From a man who spends THOUSANDS of dollars on charities in our local community?
If he's found not guilty, please apologize for your information. It would be the "Christian" thing of you to do.
The man will be provenm guilty and I'll remind y'all...
He shouldn't be allowed to practice anymore and for the person who wrote 'innocent until proven guilty' who are you trying to fool- yourself or us??!
I was googling Khaled Dabash after I saw him in the news. I knew the man personally and to be honest I totally believe he's guilty! Sad but true...

The list can go on!!
To the person who said the blogger should apologize,It's a free country!. We're free to think the way we want. Moreover, where did you get that they could only prove $2100 fraud?? If that was true then there is a problem with investigation. You might think he's innocent but a lot of people don't
Well, our children were patients of his and I have to agree - he is guilty. We were seen while he was gone. Our insurance was charged for a regular dr's visit. State police contacted us shortly after. If all of that hadn't of happened, I might be willing to give the benefit of the doubt.
