20 July is the anniversary of
Neil Armstrong's lunar landing. That's, as far as I'm concerned, one of the biggest days in aviation history. But I don't have a good postcard from the moon, so I'm making do with an earlier landmark... er.. skymark.. er... heck. Here's Lindbergh's "Spirit of St. Louis' shortly after it was installed in the Smithsonian:
