Okay, just one thought before the rest of the crowd comes for dinner tonight: on the NSA data mining, John Hinderaker at Power Line asks Is It Legal?, and concludes with the observation that "These supposedly top-secret telephone records can be given or, more likely, sold to any company or private citizen. So if I had enough money, I could buy the phone records of every person in the U.S., and donate them to the NSA."
I'd bet if he & the other higher beings (okay, maybe not Daily Kos) put up a paypal account for the purpose, we'd get enough people pitching in to buy the lists inside a week.
