The more Monmouth stays the same.
When I was in school, our high-school-aged neighbors next door had fairly frequent parties when the parents were away(Hi, Mom, I didn't go she said covering her hindquarters carefully)... the young, inordinately attractive males were left in the charge of an unnamed police officer who has, since then, been removed from the force for a separate lapse in judgement. Said officer, according to those who attended the parties, even provided the alcohol and occasionally the fine combustible weed for the occasions.
So, now, three more officers have been suspended for failure to take action as underaged girls showed up drunk at the home of one officer (and carrying alcoholic beverages). The generational cycle continues.
The police chief is appropriately embarrassed.
It seems that, in this Mayberry, Barney Fife is not dead. He's just multiplied by three.
