Finding a purpose in life

For years, my bestest friend and I have struggled with a serious lack of self-esteem (although you wouldn't think it by reading my blog or by listening to her cello playing). It's hard to think of your own self-worth when you have no useful mirror in which to reflect. And, naturally, asking a cat to bolster your morale is a little like expecting to find a good pizza in a small, midwestern town.
