Taiwan breeds green-glowing pigs

The Beeb has a nifty article on a new Taiwanese breed of green-glowing pigs. If this were done just for the novelty, I'd be a little creeped out, and, maybe, a touch concerned for the souls of my fellow human beings, but at least they've given a fairly good scientific reason for making pigs glow in the dark. They can track the jellyfish protein they've introduced into the porcine DNA, thus tracking as the glow attaches itself to certain genetic diseases.

I've always wanted a watch hog for my property. And, now, I want one of those piggies to add to my glowy collection. I don't think the cats would mind...
