my bestest friend went on her vacation last week, as soon as she had reassured herself that the elder of her two cats was stable enough to leave with somebody not his mom. Her son couldn't take off quite so much time from work, so he stayed home to watch over the animals at night, and I've been pegged to watch over all of them (not that this young man needs much supervision, but this town is pretty dull, and it helps to have somebody with whom to carry on intelligent discourse when the girls your age are all... uh... your age, I guess). We had a heated discussion on the virtues of Jason Statham over Jet Li (they were showing a couple of action flicks on tv last night).
