Last night ABC featured two hours of Peter Jennings' investigations into UFOs. After watching it, I could hardly sleep, recalling the time when I saw an alien spacecraft fly overhead in a magnificent impression of a small flock of geese.
What depth! What brilliant reporting! And, gee whiz, it sure was more meaningful than that castaway show and what followed it on CBS -- oh, wait. No, it wasn't. CSI was almost good (I tape it & watch it every Thursday after Leno).
At least the UFO show gave a little air time to the serious debunkers, and to the legitimate explanation for the Roswell sightings of half a decade ago. That's to Jennings' credit. But to say that astrophysicists and alien abductees (and other foamers) have the same hopes in their hearts, to prove there is intelligent life on other worlds... GAH!
I've got a feather from MY spaceship, if they want to study it.
